Thursday/Friday/Saturday RAW DEAL BABY

Anyone up for a Raw Deal fest any time over the Christmas holiday? I do not have to work Thursday, so I would be up for a monster "kick off the long-threatened Raw Deal League" game fest.

8th edition Campaign Starting locations

I numbered the locations and put in a convoluted "people 3ish spaces apart to start" to spread us out logirythym and here are the starting locations:

Drew: Spain, WoC
Ken: Ankara Dark Elfs
Kev: Naples (You going Skaven or Ogre Kingdom?)
Liam: St. Petersburg Bretonnians
Phillip: Holland Lizardmen

Note: You get one water space "free" for movement: IE, if you are in London you can move to Brest in one turn, but going to Spain would take 2.

I encourage everyone to play NOT your main army in games for others: IE, if Liam moves to Norway and I am playing against him, I should use the High Elf army (which is the one I would use if I were playing two armies in the campaign). Phillip would be encouraged to use Empire, Liam to use Beastmen, etc.

What is the plan? Still waiting on Kev's moves...if I get those tomorrow, we could do one small campaign game apiece, then what do we want to do for the "big" game?

I've heard that there might be quite a few people gone on the 10th. Which may be just as well, as it looks like I won't be able to make it either. Shall we reschedule for later? I might be able to do a short game of the 17th, but i'm not sure of the time as Cassie and I will be taking the kids to the fair/rodeo.

Shifting to the New Skaven Book

Although I started them under the old one, would it bother anyone if I moved to the new Skaven book for the small campaign? I'd love to be able to at least have the possibility of getting the Doomwheel and some of the other units out, but that's not an option under the old book.

Next Campaign Day

Would you guys be fine with moving the day we meet back to the 20th instead of 13th? The 13th happens to be the weekend before finals and I figured studying would be a better way to spend the time than playing Warhammer. If not, I'll make up the games later.

Saturday Lists

Just wanted to tell everyone to bring a 750 and 1000pt list for Saturday. You can have anything in it to the limitations in the book, including special characters, etc.

Hopefully the scenarios should go pretty smoothly, was going to try and keep a running catalog for anytime use, so input after they have been played out would be very helpful.

February 13th Campaign Day

What do you guys think about postponing the campaign games this month and instead doing smaller games (500-1500pts) with different scenarios and objectives? I've found a few we could try and I have also written a few small ones. Any thoughts?

Also Kev I am going to be going to Bridgetown Hobbies next week, if you want I can pick up the new Skaven book for you and you can pay me back when you can if you don't already have it.

January 9th

I'll be unable to make it on the 9th due to the final Christmas get-together for my side of the family. I've updated my campaign pages though so hopefully everything will be clear for anyone who might come in contact with me, just in case. Hope everyone who can go has fun though!
